IDEAL PLM launches Commercial Product Management

IDEAL PLM has experienced continued success with its business expansion developing its own software application, Commercial Product Management, to complement its business operating as a long-standing sales partner for Siemens PLM Software for product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions in the Nordic region and Russia.



Control over product milestones


Manufacturers often report challenges in determining the commercial viability of their products in their active product portfolio. These challenges build up when taking all the milestones of the product’s lifecycle with product release-related information into account. Providing an easy interface to enable companies this viewpoint has been a key driving force behind IDEAL PLM deciding to expand their business to software development.


The new solution gives customers control over product milestones and aggregates all product-related information into one easily navigable location.



Extension to Teamcenter® software platform


The IDEAL CPM module extends Siemens PLM Software’s Teamcenter® portfolio and Active Workspace to support the related processes and data for Product Information Management, Product Portfolio Management and Product Management. IDEAL CPM adds Active Workspace UI enhancements that allow fast searching and efficient decision making in the context of your Product Portfolio and a data model that enables the customer to define product’s commercial and technical perspectives.

Commercial Product Management suits all companies, which develop their own products and have a portfolio to manage. The solution is packaged and ready to deploy. The solution was showcased at Realize LIVE, on the 10th-13th June 2019 in Detroit. Realize LIVE is the leading industry solutions event, connecting Siemens Digital Industries Software community with peers, partners, and products while promoting networking opportunities to learn, grow and optimize the tools.
